So today I thought I’d talk about albums and why I value them and think they’re so important. Let’s start with the obvious, it’s a physical item you can hold that takes you back to your wedding day. Digital files definitely have their place, but a beautiful album is a permanent item you can enjoy, share and pass down with other people and future generations. This leads me to the heirloom piece. You can be guaranteed that any album you order with me is of heirloom quality and will last for years and years to come. This means that your wedding album is something you can pass on to your daughter, who can pass it down to her daughter and so on. Your wedding album is a way of preserving your wedding day as well as your story for your future generations. I can speak to this first hand as I remember flipping through my mom’s wedding album and getting her to tell me the story of her wedding day and the little quirks and backstory of her wedding.
Your wedding album with me is also a support piece. When you read back through this past blog post you can see how passionate I was about supporting local Canadian businesses while still providing top quality to my couples and that’s something that has not changed about me! Whenever I can, I choose to work with Canadian companies, especially if they’re local, as my way to support Canadian businesses, which is something that I value and means a lot to me!
I advise everyone to print their photos or make an album, whether I’m photographing your wedding or not, because digital files don’t necessarily last forever, which makes albums and prints something you can always treasure!
